Glimepiride + Metformin is a powerful anti-diabetic medication used to effectively manage type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). This combination helps control blood sugar levels, reduces insulin resistance, and enhances insulin production. It is widely prescribed to diabetic patients who do not achieve adequate glycemic control with diet and exercise alone.

How Glimepiride and Metformin Works

Glimepiride : A sulfonylurea that stimulates the pancreas to produce more insulin, helping lower blood sugar.
Metformin: A biguanide that reduces liver glucose production and enhances insulin sensitivity, making it easier for the body to utilize glucose efficiently.

Indications

Note: This medication is NOT for type 1 diabetes or diabetic ketoacidosis patients.

Dosage & Administration
